Chinese public security arrested an artist on Wednesday evening for engaging in an act of performance art in a private venue. Chen Guang, a former soldier turned artist, invited a dozen people to his studio on April 29 to watch him silently slither white pain on walls numbered with the years 1989 through 2014, a reference to the time that has passed since the Tiananmen Square Massacre in 1989.
